Heart of VOM, the reimagined Valley of the Moon Camp, goes online for 2021!!
Heart of VOM – the online reimagining of Valley of the Moon Fiddle Camp. From Aug 27 – Sep 1, 2021 sign on for the classes, camaraderie and spontaneous zaniness which made valley of the Moon famous for over 35 years! You are invited to join this joyful adventure in music and community.
THE PROGRAM: An expressly-designed website at https://heartofvom.com will provide the gateway to “Zoom” spaces that recreate our beloved VOM Fiddle Village. From there, participants can venture into classes led by our fabulous instructors, meander into village gatherings, forums, and even special surprise morning workouts! Evening sessions will include ceilidhs, late night socializing and games, and more. Active participation and creative collaboration with other online campers will be encouraged. Technical assistance will be available. Please see current draft schedule for details. Classes will be recorded and made available to registrants in the Heart of VOM archive for 3 months after camp.
Let’s create some memories to share when next we all meet. What better way to do that than around music, dance and song – with shenanigans thrown into the mix! Whether you attend on your own, or in embrace of a “pod” of fiddle-minded folks learning and jamming together, we hope you’ll be uplifted with a sense of shared experience and connection.
REGISTRATION FEES: We are offering Adult, Student, Senior and Special Family rates as well as a “Times are hard” rate. For those who can, please donate over and above the registration fee to help us pay support faculty, offset Heart of VOM expenses, and support the return of the residential Valley of the Moon Camp (as we know it!) in 2022.
PODS: More than ever this year we encourage people to gather in “pods” where safe. If there are multiple families or individuals in a “pod” please pay accordingly.
The Heart of VOM program, website and teaching resources will be open to registered participants only.
WEBSITE: Go to https://heartofvom.com for Information on camp and status updates. All registrants will receive emails before camp which will include any necessary passwords as well as full details of the program schedule and how to access links when camp begins on Aug 27. We will also offer links and resources to help with registrants’ online experience on the website.
We look forward to seeing you at Heart of VOM 2021!!
